Driven Detailing Service · Exterior

Exterior Car Detailing, Clay Bar & Wax

From a quick maintenance wash to a full decontamination and wax, Driven Detailing restores the gloss to your paint, wheels and glass at your home or workplace across south-east Melbourne.

Quick answer: exterior detailing with Driven Detailing starts with the Maintenance Detail from $80. The Prestige Detail ($260–$320, 3–4 hours) adds clay bar decontamination and carnauba wax protection. You can also add clay bar (from $50) or carnauba wax (from $60) to any package.

What does a clay bar do?

Even after a wash, paint can feel rough to the touch. That roughness is bonded contamination — industrial fallout, tree sap, overspray and road tar — that shampoo alone can’t lift. A clay bar glides over lubricated paint and pulls those particles out, leaving the surface smooth so wax bonds properly and the finish looks deeper.

Clay bar decontamination is included in the Prestige Detail, or add it to any package from $50.

Carnauba wax protection

Carnauba is a natural wax that adds warmth and gloss to paint and makes water bead and roll off, so the car stays cleaner between details. It’s included in the Prestige Detail, or add Carnauba Wax to any package from $60. For best results we clay the paint first.

Spray-on ceramic coating

Want protection that outlasts a wax? Add our Spray-On Ceramic Coating for $60 to any detail. It’s a ceramic (SiO2) sealant sprayed onto clean paint that adds slickness and gloss, makes water bead and sheet off, and makes the car easier to wash between details.

A spray-on ceramic is a quick, affordable layer of protection applied as part of your detail. It isn’t the same as a multi-year professional ceramic coating, which needs full paint correction and hours of curing. For best results, pair it with Clay Bar Decontamination so it bonds to perfectly clean paint.

How often should I get my car detailed?

Most daily drivers benefit from a Maintenance Detail every 2–4 weeks and a deeper Signature or Prestige Detail every few months. The Driven+ membership books one detail a month at 10% off.

Is a mobile car wash safe for my paint?

Yes. We use a pH-balanced shampoo, clean the wheels first, and dry with soft microfibre towels to minimise the risk of swirl marks — the same care we’d give a prestige car.

Do you do ceramic coating?

Yes — we offer a Spray-On Ceramic Coating for $60 that can be added to any detail. It adds gloss, water beading and easier washing. It’s a spray-applied sealant rather than a multi-year professional ceramic coating.

Can you restore cloudy headlights?

Yes. Headlight Restoration starts from $30 and can be added to any package. Very yellowed or crazed lenses may need more work; send a photo for a quote.
